Panauti is the historical city of Nepal that nestles 36km southeast from Kathmandu. This place is inhabitants by Newari people and is an important pilgrimage place for Hindus. In every 12 years a festival is celebrated at the confluence of three rivers where inhabitants  takes a holy bath. In the northern part of Panauti two rivers Roshi and Panauti confluence and the third river Punyamati which comes across the temple makes a confluence. the site is popular for Hindus. Visitors will have an insight of cultural environment as well as a glimpse of traditional lifestyle of Panauti.

Balthali is one of the hilly village near Kathmandu valley suitable for those willing to have an insight of  rich rural culture, religion and lifestyle of locals. Namobuddha is the most critical area for Buddhists in Nepal situated to the east of Kathmandu.
