Description
Koshi tappu wildlife reserve is one of the popular wild life reserves in the eastern Terai. It is located 450 km east of Kathmandu. The reserve provides a habitat for large species of birds, wild buffalo and fresh water dolphins including migratory birds such as Saras Crane. The major attractions of this tour are rarer Wild buffalo, 300 over bird’s species. A wide range of faunal species also inhabits this protected area. Bird paradise reserve includes morning jungle walk by the river lagoons and wetlands, canoe ride, slideshows, birdwatching, cultural dance and also visit unique village settlements. Taking a raft down the Koshi River is another alternative excursion for exploring this wildlife reserve. Likewise, beautifully designed homes where Tharu people resides and whose lives are not affected by the western influence can be the interesting
Itinerary
One of our Office representative will receive you and assist you to transfer to hotel. In the evening, we will have welcome Dinner with Nepali cultural show.
Kathmandu valley is the capital city of Nepal and is the first touristic destination for any visitors. It offers the most famous touristic spots listed under the world heritage site such as Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Kathmandu durbar square and many other temples that give an incredible experience. Kathmandu, the capital city stands at an elevation of 1400 meters and is considered to be the center of Nepal’s history, art and culture. Seven out of ten UNESCO world heritage site lies in the Kathmandu valley. The visitors not only explore the three towns in the valley i.e. Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur but also visit other adjacent places in the city. Tour can be started with visiting UNESCO world heritage site to delightful adjacent towns. Sightseeing at Nagarkot, visiting temples such as Changunarayan, Budhanilkantha, Dakshinkali etc. can also be done during the half day of the tour. Among these locations, only three places can visit in a day, so we give choice to guest to select three of them.
Then drive to Koshi Tappu wildlife which is about 1-hour drive from Biratnagar airport, where you will meet hotel/resort representatives and brief you about the program details. You can enjoy the natural beauty of the hotel and wildlife reserve where you can have birdwatching excursion followed by a dinner at the hotel.
Early morning breakfast and tour can be started with a full day boat excursion and four-wheel drive with packed lunch to see birds of prey, water fowl, marsh crocodile, otters, water buffalo Gagentic dolphins including visit to pink Tower. At the late evening you will enjoy cultural dance followed by Nepalese dinner again.
Early morning breakfast and bird watching excursion inside the reserve in the scrub forest, grassland, wetland habitat with packed lunch where you can encounter swamp patridge, black neck storks, bulbuls etc. You can continue with elephant riding to watch Arna, blue bull, hog deer or fishing after lunch. Then Overnight stay at the resort/hotel again.
Followed by the breakfast, drive back to Biratnagar and then to Kathmandu before the scheduled flight.
