Lumbini, declared in the world heritage site by UNESCO is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha that represents the world peace. Mayadevi is the important site in Lumbini which is birthplace of Gautam Buddha. Inscriptions on Ashoka Pillar marks this spot as the birthplace and thus the site is being developed as a Buddhist pilgrimage center. It is a piece of heaven on earth where any visitors could see Snowy Mountain amidst a splendid garden embedded with stupas and monasteries. Lumbini grove was described as a beautiful garden in Buddha’s time and still retains its legendary charm and beauty. Numbers of temples including Mayadevi temple are located in Lumbini. Many monuments, monasteries and museum i.e. Lumbini international research institute locates within this holy site.

Itinerary

Transfer to the domestic terminal of TIA, to fly for Bhairawa. Only 35 minutes fly take you to the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Then we drive to Lumbini in a private vehicle. Our tour guide will lead you to a half day tour of religious Buddhist monasteries, monuments etc. Monasteries such as Cambodian monasteries, royal Thai Buddhist monasteries, Zhong Hua, Chinese Buddhist monasteries etc. are popular destinations for tourists within Lumbini. Overnight stay at hotel.

After early morning breakfast, various monuments such as Mayadevi temple, Myanmar golden temple etc. could be another major attraction sites. Tour can be started off with visiting Mayadevi temple which is 10 to 15-minute walk on foot and 5 minutes on a rickshaw drive. Then the visitor can move on to Ashoka pillar that is located within Lumbini garden and to its south lies a holy lake where the mother of Buddha took a ritual dip prior to his birth. Again an overnight stay at the hotel.

Leave hotel after breakfast for airport to fly to Kathmandu for scheduled flight.
