Located at an altitude of 3710 meters at the foot of Himalayas is Muktinath. It is located 48km north east of Jomsom. Muktinath is known to be a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhist. There is also a temple named Jwala mai or the goddess of flame with phenomenal underground blue flame.
