Patan City is the second significant city in Kathmandu Valley. The promising work of People and Patan Metropolitan City creates tourist tourist-friendly environment on the premises of Patan Durbar Square. Patan is renowned for metalwork, wood crafting, and its medieval architecture. Patan city witnesses wonderful Newari festivals such as Rato Machhindranath Jatra, and Gaijatra. The well-preserved monuments, temples, courtyards, and squares are architecturally elegant and beautiful. During the Patan City tour, we will visit Patan Durbar Square and its Premises. Out of Patan city, we will visit Bungmati and Khokana town which are traditional Newari towns having several festivals and uniqueness. Godawari is a small town in the lap of Phulchwoki Hill which is popular for bird watching. The tour starts with a bird-watching tour and a village tour following Bungmati and Khokana.

Drive early in the morning to Godawari, take breakfast around Godawari, and explore the Godawari forest to watch Himalayan birds. Walk through villages to reach Bungmati and Khokana following paddy fields and traditional village roads. Explore Bungmati and Khokana town, and observe the traditional wood oil coal. Previously Khokana was popular for mustard oil.

Begin your exploration at Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at the exquisite Newari architecture, including the Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, and the Golden Temple. Admire the intricately carved wooden windows and doors that reflect the artistic prowess of the Malla period. Likewise visit the Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, commonly known as the Golden Temple, an architectural masterpiece adorned with golden artwork. Immerse yourself in the serene ambiance and observe the Buddhist rituals taking place in this sacred site. Explore the Mahabouddha Temple, a unique terracotta shrine known for its intricate details. The temple, adorned with thousands of miniature images of Buddha, provides a tranquil setting for reflection. The Patan Museum is a collection of Nepali art and artifacts. You can notice the unique craftsmanship of Newar in Kathmandu Valley. In the evening you can stroll around Thamel.
