Lwang is a beautiful Gurung village about 20–30 km northwest of Pokhara, known for its community homestay, organic tea garden, and stunning views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna ranges. On the first day of the Lwang village tour, we can either start from Pokhara in a guided jeep to Lwang village or hike via Kandhe, Australian camp, and Pothana, then continue to Lwang village. This tour is organized to understand the significance of Gurung culture, local food culture, local lifestyle, and traditions of the rural village.
The stone-paved alleys that connect houses. The purpose of this tour is to familiarize students with village life, Gurung culture, and traditions. The exposure to a serene environment, organic local food, community culture, and Himalayan views makes this tour more interesting. The organic tea garden of Lwang Village is one of the largest tea estates in western Nepal. During our stay in the homestay, we will witness the magnificent views of the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Himalayan ranges. The village walk, waterfall, and tea garden visit will be memorable for students.
