Braga Monastery, or Braka Gompa, is located in the Manang district. The beautiful Gompa was built over 500 years ago in the Braga village, which is surrounded by rugged cliffs and snowy peaks. The Manang-Braga Monastery tour combines a few days of trekking in the natural amphitheater of the Annapurna region. The tour is purely spiritual, where the natural beauty and vibrant culture of the Himalayan people spellbound you into Buddhist traditions. The terrain of Manang, breathtaking views of mountains, and significant practices of Buddhism that have maintained a legacy for centuries will make your journey everlasting and memorable. The stone-paved trail, fluttering prayer flags, and the architectural marvel of the monastery make it special with the humming of Buddhist monks. There are several collections of ancient artifacts such as Thangka, statues, Manuscripts, and many other significant Buddhist artifacts. The stunning views of the Annapurna range and the Marsyangdi Valley are incredible from Braga Monastery. Either we can return to Manang village or go hiking to Ice Lake(Kicho Tal). The hiking trail is less used by locals for different festivals and for yak and sheep grazing season. The views of the Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, and Tilicho peaks are magnificent. The serene blue water in the ice lake provides an insight into the surrounding mountains. The ice lake has an altitude above 4600 meters. We can have a tented camp around Ice Lake or back to the Braga village and overnight at Braga. The following day, take a short hike to Manang village and take a rest. Manang village is located at an elevation of 3540 meters, which is a gateway to Thorong La Pass, Tilicho Lake, and Nar Phu Valley trek. The tour is open to add any extended activities, such as the Tilicho Lake trek or the Nar Phu Valley trek.
