It is believed that lord Shiva originates in this great night known as Mahashivaratri. The day is the most important Hindu festival, celebrated with immense respect and devotion in Nepal and most parts of South Asia. The tour begins with a visit to iconic and historic places of Kathmandu. There are many UNESCO World Heritage sites available in Kathmandu. We start our journey from Swoyambhunath Stupa, known as Monkey Temple, and later, we go to Budhanilkantha- a sleeping Bishnu statue lying in the small pond. After lunch, we go to Pashupatinath temple to observe the ongoing preparation of the Mahashivaratri festival. We will observe the evening Arati on the bank of the Bagmati River. In the evening, we may meet sadhus and thousands of pilgrims on the premises.
Pashupatinath temple is one of the greatest temples dedicated to lord Shiva, located on the bank of Bagmati river in Kathmandu. The spiritual vibes of this place are amazing, Hindus from different parts of the world visit the sacred Pashupatinath temple once in their lifetime. Mahashivaratri is a special day to visit and pay homage to lord Shiva; devotees celebrate this auspicious day by chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya.’ Today, the attraction of Naga Sadhus and Aghori is hype as they are different from other devotees. Their blessings have higher significance in the Hindu religion.
Another day of the Spiritual tour begins with a visit to Doleshwor Mahadev, who is believed to be the head of Kedarnath. After Doleshwor, we visit the vibrant town of Bhaktapur, including Bhaktapur Durbar Square and its premises. We will conclude the day after visiting Chandragiri cable car and Bhaleshwor Mahadev at the hilltop of Chandragiri hill.
