Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is one of the popular wildlife reserves in the eastern Terai. It is located 450 km east of Kathmandu. The reserve provides a habitat for large species of birds, wild buffalo, and freshwater dolphins including migratory birds such as Saras Crane. The major attractions of this tour are rarer Wild buffalo and 300 bird species. A wide range of faunal species also inhabits this protected area.
