The Kathmandu Valley Art and Craft Tour comprises Newari craftsmanships on wood carving, metalwork, and stone sculptures of Patan City and pottery of Bhaktapur City. The Thangka paintings over the prayer flag around Bouddhanath Stupa are interesting artworks who like to explore Buddhist art and culture. During the tour, participants will explore the factories where artists sketch different drawings of metal, wood, and stone. Around Bouddhanath Stupa, we will visit Thangka Painting School and understand the process of painting by experienced artists. Participants can observe and explore the vibrant markets and iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Museum in Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. One of our office representatives will receive you upon your arrival at the airport and will transfer you to the planned hotel. In the late afternoon, we will go on a guided tour to Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we will visit Patan Museum to understand the Newari art and architecture, and in the evening, we will visit around Patan City to observe Patan’s Handicraft market, renown for metal crafts, wood carvings, and hand made ornaments.
You will then be warmly welcomed with an excellent dinner that offers you authentic Newari cuisine rich in taste and culture. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02Day 2: Thangka Painting Workshop & Monastic Experience

After breakfast, we will attend Thangka Painting School and participate in a Thanka Painting Workshop to observe the fundamentals of sketching sacred motifs and understanding proportions. At the same time, learn the basics of natural pigments, brushes, and the preparation process for painting on canvas. In the afternoon, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and explore the different monuments and museums within Durbar Square. Visit Pottery Square and observe the skills of locals making pots, and you can try them under the guidance of a pottery artist. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03Day 3: Kathmandu City Tour

Today, we will visit the most famous and sacred Pashupatinath temple of Hindus on the bank of the Bagmati River. Experience the spirituality around the Pashupati temple. We will have lunch at Bouddhanath Stupa, where we will explore its vibrant markets, showcasing Tibetan-inspired crafts like prayer flags, incense holders, and handmade rugs. We will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, we take part in the tour of Fair Trade for Sustainable Art Center. Interacts with local artists and shares experiences. Join the farewell Dinner followed by authentic Nepali food and a cultural show. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Our Extended Kathmandu Valley art and craft Tour comes to an end today! We transfer you to the airport approximately three hours before the scheduled flight.
