During the new year in April mid-week, Bhaktapur city celebrates a week-long festival named Bisket Jatra.  During May, Buddha Purnima observed the Bouddhanath stupa and Swoyambhunath stupa. The ever-longest festival of Kathmandu Valley is Rato Machhindranath Jatra which is celebrated in Patan city and Bungmati town. Dashain: Dashain is celebrated for fifteen days which is the longest festival and is celebrated by Hindus in Nepal. The festival occurs in October normally where the homage to goddess Durga is a primary focus.

Tihar (Deepawali): The festival of lights and color is another great festival of Hindus which is celebrated for five days and each day is dedicated to honor different animals such as crow, dog, cow, and ox.
