Dattatreya Temple in Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur is the ancient city of Kathmandu Valley renowned for its art and culture which is well preserved to date. Bhaktapur known as Bhadgaon, is a typical vibrant city continuing its cultural practices through centuries. The well-preserved Medieval Newari architecture can be seen in Durbar Square and its premises. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The wonderful surroundings of Durbar Square comprise several monuments, temples, Palaces, and administrative offices. 55- Window Palace, Vatsala Temple, Nyatapole Temple (5-storeyed temple), Dattatray Square, and many other temples and monuments.

Day 01

Day 1: Explore Bhaktapur City

During the first day of our Bhaktapur city tour, we drive from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We explore around Durbar Square premises to observe and understand the Newari architecture which is showcased in 55-Window Palace, Nyatapole, and a short visit to the Museum. We enjoyed lunch around Durbar Square to test Newar traditional food. After lunch, we will visit Pottery Square to observe the traditional pottery-making industry. Overnight stay at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 02

Day 2: Explore the Temple around Bhaktapur

After breakfast, we drive to Bhaktapur for 30 minutes and then 20 20-minute drive to reach Changu Narayan temple. Changu Narayan temple is the oldest temple in Kathmandu Valley. The architectural design of the temple is unique and the stone carvings show different incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Lunch at Changunarayan. We will hike for 2 hours from Changu Narayan temple to Telkot. Now we drive to Nagarkot Hill and check in to a hotel—a little walk to reach the sunset viewpoint to capture the moment. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03

Day 3: Enjoy the Sunrise view and go back to Kathmandu

Early in the morning, we get ready in the hotel premises to enjoy the sunrise. After capturing the sunrise from the Himalayas, we have breakfast. Check out from the hotel and back to Kathmandu. Visit Bouddhanath Stupa and its premises. Enjoy Tibetan Lunch. Drive to Swoyambhunath Stupa and enjoy the Kathmandu city view from the top of Swoyambhu. Drive back to the hotel. Relax and stroll around Thamel Street in the evening.

Day 04

Day 4: Departure

Depart for another destination. Enjoy your time.
