The Kathmandu Valley Rim tour is a short hike around Kathmandu Valley. This tour can be started with a scenic drive to Changunarayan, listed under the World Heritage by UNESCO which reflects brilliance architectural proficiency, and religious significance. A scenic drive to Nagarkot can be resumed with Changunarayan which gives a famous enchanting viewpoint of sunrise and sunset over the distinguished Himalayas in the nation. The tour then can be continued from Chisapani to Shivapuri where one can see the divine flora and fauna in the national park and head to another destination of Kathmandu Valley i.e., Kakani. This tour entails the mesmerizing view of the Himalayas along with rich culture, and diverse landscapes with a delightful introduction to lush green vegetation. At the same time, we will have a city tour including Durbar squares, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, and Swoyambhunath.

Upon the airport arrival, one of our office representatives will receive you with gratitude and then transfer you to the hotel where he will be briefed about the planned activities further. We will visit the oldest temple of Changunarayan today as we finish our breakfast. We will be driven to Changunarayan Temple. You will know that the temple here is built in a pagoda style and is dedicated to lord Vishnu. The cultural and religious importance can be observed during festivals like Haribodhhani Ekadashi and many other local festivals and Jatra. The architecture and historical evidence make it clear that Changunarayan is one of the oldest Lord Vishnu temples in Nepal. After the Changunarayan visit, we go for the Bhaktapur Durbar Square visit where you will witness the live art and craft, tradition and customs, legendary temple, and Durbar Square which is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After Changunarayan and Durbar Square, you can head to Nagarkot which is about 1 hour from there where once reached can explore beautiful sunrise and sunset views over the mountains like Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gauri Shankar, etc. An overnight stay in the hotel.

Early morning breakfast and start hiking to Chisapani. These days we encounter roads in the trekking trail up to Jhule near Chauki Bhanjyang. After Jhule, we walk through dense rhododendron forests, numerous waterfalls, small settlement areas, and temples. At present Dhap is a man-made lake inside Shivapuri National Park to maintain the ecology and needed water for wild animals in the dry season, which was open rainy season pond earlier. One can have an insight into local lifestyles there and enjoy the beautiful view of the Himalayan range. This will be a tour of 6 to 8 hours full day hiking. An overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04Day 04: Chisapani to Shivpuri
Day 04: Chisapani to Shivpuri
The next day hiking starts from Chisapani to Shivpuri for about 5 to 6 hours. Dense forests can be walked through and small settlements with tea houses can be observed on the way. Waterfalls, dams, and temples can also be seen on the way. One can also have an insight into the local inhabitants there. On this day we have the option to stay around Shivapuri Jungle or even go back to the Kathmandu hotel.

The descending trend along the forested landscape will take one to the ancient Gorkhali village, Kakani which is a famed recreational village. One can enjoy lush greens, and mountain views such as Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, etc. Then once the things are explored you can drive back to Kathmandu from there. During the evening time, you can relax around the Thamel area. An overnight stay at Kathmandu hotel.

After breakfast, the tour can begin with sightseeing world heritage sites within Kathmandu. Kathmandu is known for its rich art, culture, and architecture. The Malla dynasty ruled over the country from the 12th to 18th century. While Pashupatinath is known to be a religious Hindu temple and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia which is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.

Day 07: Departure from Kathmandu
This is probably the last day of touring when one can spend time shopping and other recreational activities if have a delayed flight. Then reach the airport before the scheduled flight.
