Trekking in the Annapurna region is a fascinating experience that showcases several trekking trails. The Annapurna Base Camp trek is a popular trekking destination at an elevation of 4130m.  ABC trek in 2026 winter and spring will be more exciting and colorful. During winter, high alpine meadows, terraced farmlands, beautiful snow-capped mountains, and lush rhododendron forests are incredible. The welcoming hospitality of the traditional Gurung and Magar villages makes the trekking trail vibrant and joyful.  Trekkers are fortunate to learn and experience the rich culture and lifestyle. The final destination, Annapurna Base Camp, sits in a natural amphitheater surrounded by some of the world’s highest mountains, including Annapurna I (8,091 m), Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), and Hiunchuli (6,441 m). It is also known as Annapurna Sanctuary. The sunrise views from the base camp over the mountains are mesmerizing, with the shades of gold and pink. The ABC trekking trail offers a world-class adventure with its enriching culture, the amphitheater of natural beauty, and picturesque landscapes, making it a must-do experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Day 01

Day 01: Arrival at Pokhara and transfer to the hotel

We welcome you to Pokhara, a city of lakes and a serene environment. Our office representative will assist you with your transfer to the hotel and later brief you on the trekking plan. In the evening, stroll around Phewa Lake and enjoy tea or coffee on its banks. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 02

Day 02: – Drive to Ghandruk and trek to Chhomrong(2040m): Drive 3 hours, Walking 4-5 hours.

Drive from Pokhara to Ghandruk in a private car/jeep. The trail passes through a rhododendron forest. During spring, rhododendron flowers bloom and make the forest beautiful. The trail continues to Jhinu, via rhododendron forests and fine terraces to Chhomrong village. Above the village is the mighty peak of Annapurna South, with Mt. Fishtail facing it across the valley. Chhomrong is a beautiful village with lots of Lodges providing good facilities. Chhomrong is a gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary trek and is inhabited by Gurung, one of the major ethnic groups of Nepal.

Day 03

Day 03: – Trekking from Chhomrong to Dovan (2540m): walking 5-6 hours

Leaving Chhomrong, the trail descends via a stone staircase and crosses the Chhomrong Khola on a swaying Suspension bridge. Then climb out of the side valley passing through deep forests of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak. The portion of the day’s trek follows another ascent to Kuldi (2470m). Descend a long, steep, slippery stone staircase into a deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan.

Day 04

Day 04: – Trekking from Dovan to Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3700m): walking 6-7 hours

Today we trek to Machhapuchhare Base Camp through the Modi Khola valley. The views from M.B.C. are fabulous, and the panorama with the stunning views of Hiunchuli, Annapurna ranges, and the ever-changing Machhapuchhare is mind-blowing. Annapurna Sanctuary is surrounded by a huge amphitheater of snow-capped peaks that include Annapurna I, Annapurna III, and the fishtail.

Day 05

Day 05: – Trek from Machhapuchhare Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) and back to Dovan.

Today we climb up to Annapurna Base Camp, which takes almost two hours to climb. The stunning looks of the base camp make you freshen up, and your joy has no limit. You descend a small ridge branching out from the mountain pass to the mountainside with widespread terraced fields showcasing tranquil meadows and lush, fertile farming land before you reach Annapurna South Base Camp. We explore around Annapurna Base Camp, and for a night’s stay, we descend to Dovan.

Day 06

Day 06: – Trekking from Dovan to Jhinu hot spring (1760m): walking 6-7 hours

Today, we will walk a bit more on the steep, slippery stone staircase from the village of Dovan to the Jhinu hot spring. We cross through deep forests of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak to Chhomrong, from here to reach Jhinu it takes 45 minutes, but you can enjoy the natural hot spring, small pools near Modi Khola.

Day 07

Day 07: – Trekking from Jhinu hot spring to Nayapool to reach Pokhara: walking 6-7 hours

We completed the awesome trek of the region. We finished one of the spectacular treks of the Annapurna region. We learned about different customs and cultural traits during trekking with stunning mountain views. Walking is comparatively easier, and you can use a vehicle before reaching Nayapool. We continue our walk to Nayapool and catch a private vehicle to get to Pokhara. We spend pleasant moments on the lakesides of Pokhara city. Boating in Fewa Lake or spending a few hours in the streets of the lakeside makes it beautiful.
