3 Nights Kathmandu & 2 Nights Pokhara Tour

Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal, one of the world’s beautiful Heritage cities, that follows centuries-old legacy and traditions in this high-tech, cutting-edge era. The temples, the old Palace, and the wonderful festivals around the year make this city unique in the world. The Newar Community, a permanent resident of the Kathmandu valley, makes this city vibrant.

Our tour starts from TIA, Kathmandu, and we drive to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur City. We will have a guided tour of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square.  The ancient city is enriched in preserving traditions and culture. The fine architecture of temples, monuments, and Durbar reflects the craftsmanship of the Newari community. The standing Nyatapole, 55-window Durbar, and courtyard proudly showcase their historic, abundant heritage and culture. The famous Biska festival, observed during the Nepali New Year, which is based on the lunar calendar, is one of the legendary festivals celebrated in Bhaktapur.

After lunch, we drive to Nagarkot Hill for half an hour and check into the hotel or resort. The cool breeze whispers in your ear, which makes you cool and relax on the hilltop of Nagarkot. Enjoying the panoramic views of the Himalayan range, including holy Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Langtang Himal, and the world’s tallest mountain, Everest, while sitting on your room balcony having a coffee/tea. We drive to the Sankhu, a Newari town, which is 17 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu and can be reached from Nagarkot hill within a 15-minute drive. Stroll around the narrow alley lined with traditional Newari houses, temples, and courtyards. Visit the Bajrayogini temple, which is sacred for both Hindus and Buddhists. We drive to Khasti Stupa, known as Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world. We circumambulate the Stupa and visit a few gompa around Bouddhanath and have lunch there. After lunch, we drive to the Pashupatinath temple and understand the significance of this sacred temple in the Hindu community. We observe the finest architecture and the surrounding premises. We check into the hotel and take a rest for a while. In the evening, stroll around Thamel and enjoy an authentic Newari dinner in the restaurant.

In the morning, we take a 25-minute flight to Pokhara, a beautiful city with lakes and hills in the lap of the Annapurna Himalayan range. The Pokhara Valley is the starting point for several trekking and expeditions around the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himal. We check into the hotel and start to explore this beautiful city, visiting the Mountaineering Museum, Butterfly Museum(one of the largest butterfly museums in Asia), and then have lunch and take a rest. Stroll around the Phewa Lake in the evening and have dinner at the Lakeside restaurant.

The next day, we go to Phewa Lake for boating to cross Phewa Lake and reach the hiking point towards the World Peace Stupa. The breathtaking views of Pokhara Valley and panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himal make this trip memorable forever. After the peaceful visit to the Stupa, we further hike towards Pumdikot Mahadev for an hour. The view is magical, and the place is dedicated to lord Shiva, and hundreds of devotees are seen in the premises of Pumdikot.  We drive back to the Chhorepatan and quickly visit a waterfall known as Davis Falls, and then we visit a cave called Gupteswor Cave, where we get blessings from lord Shiva.  We have lunch around the lakeside and take a rest for an hour in the hotel.  In the evening, we may go for a cycle for an hour to Pame. The rented cycles are fine and can be used to visit the lakeside by riding them.

We will have a sunrise view from Sarangkot the next morning. We fly to Kathmandu and check into the hotel, and take a rest for a while.  After lunch, we drive to the Swoyambhu hill and visit the Swoyambhu Stupa and the surrounding gompa and temples.
