Ghalegaun Tour

Ghalegaun is the habitat of the famous Ghales, Gurungs, and legendary Gurkhas of western Nepal. It lies in the Lamjung district of Nepal and is incredibly popular for homestay trekking trekkers. It is situated 205 km northwest of Kathmandu and 125 km northeast of Pokhara. The village gives a close-up view of the western Himalayas including Machhapuchhare, Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, Buddha Himal, Himchuli, and other small peaks.

The Ghalegaun tour is very popular for honey-hunting activities. Traditional honey hunting can be observed during the Ghalegaun tour. Primarily, it is possible in the late spring and autumn seasons.

Day 01

Day 01: Drive to Ghalegaun from Kathmandu

Early breakfast and drive to Besishahar which takes about 5 hours from Kathmandu. You will reach in the afternoon to have a little rest then go to Ghalegaun or you have the choice to hike up to Ghalegaun. It takes 3-4 hours to reach Ghalegaun. Then in the evening time at a community center where the local committee will warmly welcome every visitor and showcase their cultural program. Overnight at Homestay.

Day 02

Day 02: Ghalegaun to Pokhara

After early morning breakfast, drive back to Besishahar to observe the natural scenic and local culture. Reach Besishahar in the afternoon and drive to Pokhara which you will reach after 3 hours almost. In the evening, stroll around the lakesides and enjoy dinner at the lakeside. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03

Day 03: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Early morning visit to Sarangkot for sunrise view and visit Davis Fall and Gupteswor cave. Back to the hotel and have breakfast and then drive to Kathmandu. Enjoy an evening in Thamel.

Day 04

Day 04: Departure

Finally, you are transferred to the airport for boarding 2-3 hours before your flight.
