Kathmandu City is the capital of the federal democratic republic of Nepal. Tours to Kathmandu City are always fascinating, and the city’s historic significance regularly attracts thousands of tourists annually. The rich cultural and typical traditions of following rituals and customs for the last two thousand years have remained the same. The unique festivals, lifestyle, food culture, and religious significance are interrelated. Kathmandu City is popular for its marvelous architecture in temples, courtyards, and Durbar Square/Palaces. Fine art, wood carving, metalwork, and stone sculpture are the major attractions of this tour. Depending on your flight landing time, the schedule may change. That’s why on the very first day, we have no specific program. On the second and third days, we will be busy with a city tour and an exciting mountain flight. During the Kathmandu tour, we will visit a few UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Swoyambhunath Stupa, Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. The next day, early in the morning, we will fly for an exciting Everest Mountain Flight, and later in the afternoon, we will visit the ancient city of Bhaktapur.

Upon your arrival at TIA, Kathmandu, we will welcome you and assist you in transferring to the hotel. Depending on your arrival, we schedule the activity on the first day of your arrival. If your flight lands in the morning, we will schedule the Swoyambhunath Stupa tour and the National Museum of Chhauni. In the evening, stroll around Thamel and enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine for your dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

The guided tour of Kathmandu City starts from Bouddhanath Stupa, which is located in the northeast of the Core City of Kathmandu. After Bouddhanath, we go to another sacred place listed in the UNESCO World Heritage site, i.e., Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the greatest temples of Hindus in the world. The temple is located on the bank of the holy River Bagmati. The cremation site, the Sadhus, and several temples are major attractions of this place. The spirituality and tranquility of the Pashupatinath attract everyone despite of his/her beliefs. We will have lunch on the premises of Kathmandu Durbar Square. The rooftop views of the restaurant allow us to capture the entire Durbar Square through our lens. After lunch, we will visit the Kumari temple and get the blessings from the living goddess Kumari. We will minutely observe the architectural marvel of the Durbar Square temples, courtyards, and several other monuments and museums. Overnight at the hotel
Day 03Day 3: Everest Mountain Flight and Bhaktapur City Tour
Day 3: Everest Mountain Flight and Bhaktapur City Tour
We wake up early in the morning and drive to the domestic air terminal in Kathmandu for an exciting Everest Mountain flight. The duration of the flight will be an hour. The wonderful lifetime experience of scenic mountain flight showcases the entire Himalayan range from east to west in the northern border of Nepal to Tibet. We return to the hotel, have breakfast, and then drive to the ancient city of Bhaktapur for a City tour. The 55-window Durbar, Nyatapole, pottery Square, the courtyard of Durbar Square, and several other temples reflect the finest craftsmanship of the Newari people of Kathmandu Valley. The preservation of temples and several other monuments is remarkable, and the premises of Bhaktapur Durbar Square are spellbinding. We will have lunch in a local Newari restaurant to taste Newari food. After lunch, we can go shopping around Durbar Square and back to Kathmandu. In the evening, stroll around Thamel and join the farewell dinner along with the Nepali cultural show.
