Around Swoyambhunath and Bouddhanath, several monasteries practice Buddhism in different forms. Some follow Bajrayan, Mahayana, and many other forms of Buddhism. Buddhist Monastery tour also includes meditation and healing. In the Valley, there are popular monasteries like Kapan Gumba, Seto Gumba, Pharping Gumba, Asuro Cave, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Kirtipur, and Namobuddha Monastery. We start our Buddhist Monastery tour from Swoyambhunath Stupa in the morning. We will observe the entire Kathmandu City from a hilltop of Swambhunath premises. Swoyambhunath Stupa is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites among seven sites in the Kathmandu Valley. The Stupa offers us spiritual and calm surroundings as we observe the premises. We can capture the stupa’s golden spire, prayer flags, and the entire valley. Back to the hotel and have breakfast then, we start our day tour of Bouddhanath Stupa, Kapan Gumba, and Jamchen Bijaya Stupa Budhanilkantha.
Bouddhanath Stupa is the largest Stupa in the World, where Buddhists come to pray and circumambulate the Stupa and the surrounding monasteries. The spiritual and calm moment can be captured with your camera lens as it offers a great opportunity for photography. We will have lunch around Bouddhanath and drive to Kapan Monastery. Kapan Gumba is famous for its meditation courses and spiritual atmosphere where you can involve in meditation and prayer rituals and observe the daily monastic routines. Next, we will drive to Jamchen Vijay Stupa, located on the hill near Budhanilkantha temple. Enjoy the panoramic view of Kathmandu city from the Gumba.

In the evening, fly to Lumbini. Pharping has been the center of Buddhist studies since ancient times. Pharping comprises several monasteries focused on Tibetan Buddhist Studies and the sacred Asuro Cave, where Guru Padmasambhava meditated. Back to Kirtipur, a small ancient Newari town full of story and myth. Overnight at Lumbini.

Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha and represents world peace. Mayadevi temple is a significant location in the Lumbini region due to the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. Inscriptions on the Ashoka Pillar mark this spot as the birthplace, and it became a Buddhist pilgrimage center. It is a piece of heaven on earth where visitors can see Snowy Mountain amidst a splendid garden embedded with stupas and monasteries. Drive to Sidhartha Gautam International Airport to fly to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
