Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
One of the representatives of Pokalde Adventure will receive you upon your arrival at the airport and will transfer you to the planned hotel. You will then be warmly welcomed with an excellent dinner that offers you authentic Nepalese cuisine rich in taste and culture.
Day 02: Explore Kathmandu: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhanath
After breakfast, a tour can begin with sightseeing world heritage sites within Kathmandu. Kathmandu is known for its rich art, culture, and architecture. The Malla dynasty ruled over the country from the 12th to 18th century. While Pashupatinath is known to be a religious Hindu temple and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia which is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.
Day 03: Arrival in Paro:
We fly from Kathmandu airport to Paro airport in Bhutan. We will witness the holy peaks of Jumolhari and Jichu Drake in splendid view. We will be welcomed at Paro and transferred to the hotel by a Pokalde Adventure Tours & travel representative. Normally, we reach Paro for Lunch where we will experience Bhutanese culture and food. After lunch, we visited the Ta Dzong – National Museum, which contains a gallery that embraces a variety of ancient canvases, armors “arena of Buddhas”. After touring a museum, we visit the Drugyal Dzong Ruins (Bhutan Victory Fort), which was built in 1646 to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invaders during the 1600s. In the evening you can stroll around town and experience the lifestyle of people and have dinner and sleep overnight in Paro.
Day 04: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
The popular Destination to hike in Bhutan is Tiger’s Nest Monastery located at 10,400 feet which is magnificent and the guru is perched at the edge of a sharp cliff about 3,000 feet above the Paro Valley. Guru Rimpoche winged on a tigress to meditate here. We will have lunch in the cafeteria which is situated around the middle of the peak. After Exploring the tiger’s nest one can mediate within the leftover time and lastly back to the hotel and overnight at Paro.
Day 05: Paro-Thimphu
After breakfast take a cheerful ride to Thimphu capital city of Bhutan. The Highway is trailed by the association of two wonderful Paro and Thimphu rivers at Chuzoum. While driving to Thimpu, we can visit the Tachogang Lhakhang built in the fifteenth century, and then transfer to the hotel. After lunch tour to Thimphu Memorial Chorten, nunnery temple, National Institute of Traditional Medicine and School of Arts and Crafts, Textile Museum, Handicraft Emporium, royal Tashichhodzong and largest Buddha statue on a slope watching Thimphu which is the greatest Buddha Shakyamuni. In the evening, stroll around Thimphu
Day 06: Thimpu- Geynizampa(2800m) Trek begins (14km 4 hours walk)
We drive for 45 minutes to reach the trek start points from Thimpu. Following beautiful terraces, we hike for four hours following mule footsteps to Genekha (2950m). Today, we will camp in a blue pine forest at an elevation of 2800m. Stay overnight in camp.
Day 07: Geynizampa-Gur(3290m) (5km 4 hours walk)
Geynizampa trek is loaded with natural beauty. We will experience alpine flora and fauna. Gradually, we hike for another 2 hours and take a few minutes of rest. During rest time, one can capture a picturesque view of the valley. Then again, we go for 2 more hours hike to reach Camp Gur where we will camp. During spring and autumn, different flowers can be seen.
Day 08: Gur-Labatama(4300m) (12 Km 5 hours walk)
The trek begins through the edges where one relishes the wonder of wild mountains. We trek through verdures and wild asparagus following meadows of yak herds which makes the environment romantic. The first pass showcases the entire Dagala range with a spectacular view of beautiful meadows and yak herders’ camp. We will have lunch around yak herder’s camp. After lunch, hike through hills and pasture fields to complete today’s trek. Stay in a camp near Yutsho Lake.
Day 09: Explore the Labatama area
After camping at Yutsho, the climb starts to Setsho Lake which is a quiet journey and, in this manner, strolls over a point and afterward down to Jagetsho Lake and one can attempt to climb the Jomo (5,050m) and have lunch at a top from extraordinary view with remarkable recollections and back to camping area by evening. These stunning lakes are also a great place to get in some excellent trout fishing, as all of the lakes are stocked with rainbow trout, which can be fished with a local permit that we can acquire for you.
Day 10: Labatama-Pankha(4000m) (8 Km long 6-7 hours walk)
We have explored pretty much area of Labatama with great experience of fishing, and now time to get back on the trail, and the day begins with a climb along the western side of Dala Tsho, up to the saddle of the ridge. From this high-altitude ridge, if you are lucky enough you get to see Mount Everest and many other peaks. From that point, the trail descends to the Doccha Chhu Valley, crossing meadows and yak herders’s camp. After a short hike, we will reach Pankha village where we will have a night halt.
Day 11: Pankha – Talekha (4,180 m) (5-6 hours/8 km)
While the day’s hiking will cross several passes between the mountains, none are really hard today, and none require a steep climb. The area between Pankha and Talekha is well known as a popular place for some of the mountain birds that reside in northwest Bhutan, and in the summer months, the fields are strewn with blue poppies. After crossing the final pass, you will start to descend to the valley and then you reach Gompa at Talekha. Your campsite is right next to the monastery, and you will wake up to the Buddhist chants of the monks at prayer in the morning.
Day 12: Talekha-Thimphu (6 km, 3 hours)
Today, we are completing the trek when we reach Thimphu, the stunning view of Thimphu city can be viewed from Talekha. Around Talekha, you can visit the apple garden and then drive to Thimphu for Lunch. Afternoon, we drive to Paro City and transfer to the hotel.
Day 13: Paro Departure
After breakfast, we drive to the airport for an international flight. You fly to Kathmandu, transfer to a hotel, and take a rest.
